Course Description:
New equipment must pay its way. Upon taking this course, participants
will be able to analyze and answer the question, "Is it feasible
and financially responsible to purchase this equipment?" The
course will review the process of analyzing equipment purchases
by comparing the cost of the new equipment against the sum of the
increased output and quality, combined with the reduced labor, materials,
and equipment costs. Participants will learn how to gather and analyze
data on the current and expected process times, waste factors, quality
improvements, and other cost comparisons.
